Attorney Aleen L. Khanjian

Aleen L. Khanjian graduated with honors from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2001, where she majored in Political Science. She received her law degree in 2004 from the Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, and was admitted to the California State Bar in November of that same year.

Ms. Khanjian has over twenty years of broad civil litigation experience. Her initial practice was primarily focused on Insurance Defense, Employment Law, Workers’ Compensation, and defending municipalities. She also gained courtroom experience through her work in the private sector, as well as at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s downtown Los Angeles office and later at the Office of the City of Attorney, in Los Angeles, where she gained exposure to lawsuits concerning civil liability. She also acquired strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills through these experiences. 

Ms. Khanjian has also written promotional material and articles for local and community publications, and is involved with several volunteer and philanthropic organizations. She has worked both as a Family Lawyer, representing parties in child custody, child support and visitation, and spousal support hearings. She has also represented and defended parties in Domestic Violence hearings. She has also worked as a Corporate Tax Attorney, representing large corporations, against the State of California, at the administrative level, as well as in Court.

During law school, Ms. Khanjian took several courses in Bankruptcy and Federal Income Taxation, and was involved in the Volunteer Income Taxation Assistance program in order to maximize her exposure to areas encountered in a general corporate practice.

Ms. Khanjian continuously strives to improve her legal acumen. She is a dedicated professional, who is a fierce advocate for her clients. She enjoys serving her community and working with people, especially families and children. Her multi-faceted experience has allowed her to utilize her talents for writing, speaking, research, analysis and organization within the legal environment, as well as in the non-profit sector.

Ms. Khanjian was born and raised in Pasadena. She is a creative, analytical and dedicated attorney with exceptional communication skills. She enjoys writing short stories, fiction novels and poetry. She is also an avid blogger.
